Rules for
WSCONA Elections
March 4, 2026
These are the rules for annual elections for WSCONA Board members.
1. The elections will be conducted without interruptions for their duration.
2. Nominees will have two minutes or less to explain their qualifications with WSCONA or their goals for WSCONA for the year.
3. Nominations will be accepted for only one position per WSCONA member. If a nominee is nominated for more than one position, the nominee must choose which position to run for.
4. Elections Committee is suspending the By-Laws rule that nominating and electing are done by paper ballot because this is a recorded Zoom meeting.
5. Nominees without any opponents will be voted by acclamation of 2/3rds of the attending members.
6. There will be a motion for the position(s) that are to be approved by acclamation, Elections Committee will accept a 2nd to the motion, and the unopposed nominee(s) will be voted on by the attending members.
7. Contested position(s) will be motioned, seconded and then voted without further discussion.
